Zoya Designer, Diva, & Gloss Fall 2012 Collections Review & Swatches

Good morning!

Today I have swatches of Zoya's Fall collections Designer, Diva, and Gloss. Zoya's Fall Collections this year have left big shoes to fill for next year's collection. I love that these collections have such a large variety. There is a different finish for everyone, whether you're a jelly girl or a metallic girl.

Let's start with the Diva Collection, six gorgeous metallics and shimmers.

Zoya Song. I love the name of this one and it just happens to be one of my favorites. Song is a super vibrant metallic blue with blue shimmer particles. When I say vibrant I mean a really vibrant, really bright blue! This reminds me a lot of Orly Royal Navy, only this shimmer isn't the same tone of blue.

Zoya Suri is a royal purple shimmer. This has a bit of a frost characteristic to it but it's not a complete frost either. The application was incredibly smooth with Suri, it was like melted butter. This is 2 coats.

Next we have Zoya Ray, a sexy dark pine green shimmer! This is the same type of finish as Suri, not quite a frosty finish but close. You have to be careful with application to avoid brushstrokes. They aren't as visible in real life as they are in this picture. 2 easy coats.

Zoya Elisa. This has the same finish as Ray and Suri but I found this to be the least frosty. Elisa is a bright red shimmery metallic. When I was removing it, I noticed it had a bit of a pink undertone to it.

FeiFei is a stunning grayish blue metallic with gold, blue and silver shimmer particles. This is an extremely unique and gorgeous color, I have nothing else like this in my collection! Easily one of my favorites. It is a lot more blue in person than my camera picked up, you have to see this in person to appreciate it's beauty. 2 coats.

Zoya Daul is a beautiful blue toned purple packed with gold glitter/shimmer particles. This is more like chunky shimmer if there was ever such a thing. This polish is similar to Zoya Faye and all it's dupes but they have different colored bases. 3 coats here.

Moving onto the Designer Collection, six delicious creams. Two of which were originally designed for fashion designers Bibhu Mohapatra (Rekha) and Peter Som (Evvie).

Sally Hansen Amber Ruby

Good morning!

Today is a pretty exciting post, I finally got my hands on a Sally Hansen Nail Prism! It may not be Garnet Lapis or Turqouise Opal but it is unique on it's own and it's beautiful.

I purchased this on Amazon for $9.99 before shipping.

Already an all time favorite for me.

These pictures are in natural sunlight with 2 coats.

Sally Hansen Amber Ruby is a beautiful, beautiful, beautiful orange/red/gold multi-chromatic frost with the slightest hint of green flash. The switch on this polish is insane! It literally goes from orange to gold in .02 seconds. Scrangie described it best..."fall in a bottle". It's the perfect polish for fall.

The only issue I had with this is the drying time, took longer than an hour and a half for two thick coats to dry.

Other than that, I love, love, love this!

Random Swatch Spam (Zoya, OPI, Catrice...)

I was really in the mood for swatching this past weekend and trying out different combinations and layering techniques as well as some of the colors I have bought but have not worn.

Let's start off with Ulta Deck the Halls, a silver, scattered, holographic glitter, layered over Essence What Do U Think?.

Here's what Deck the Halls looks like in the bottle:
(Blurred to show holo effect)
Next we have OPI Silver Shatter layered over CCUK Midnight Blue. I prefer Silver Shatter when it looks more metallic rather than glitzy and glittery so here it is with no topcoat:

Then it's the beautiful Zoya Gemma, a subtle olive green with blue/violet shimmer. I really love this color and suggest that everyone has something this unique in their collection! I've been wearing this alone since Saturday:

Next is the beautiful Catrice Big Spender Wanted! This is my second Catrice nail polish and I am very impressed with their formula. I especially love this one because of the pretty gold shimmer, not to mention that I've never had a frost-like polish with this good of a formula:

Last, we have Claire's Poison Apple. This is supposed to be a dupe for MAC's Bad Fairy but considering it's poor excuse for a duo-chrome, I'm guessing it isn't. Not only was it sheer, but the pretty copper and orange you see in the bottle is trapped there. It barely transfers to the nails.

But wait, is that a little duo-chrome I see?

I think my favorites from the bunch are Zoya Gemma and Catrice Big Spender Wanted. Which are your favorites?
